Our owner-trainer service dog program offers personalized coaching to help you train your dog to meet your unique needs. From basic obedience to advanced service tasks, we provide step-by-step guidance to set you and your dog up for success. With a focus on ethical, fear-free techniques, we prioritize your dog’s well-being and joy throughout the training journey.
Service dogs learn a minimum of 3 tasks to help mitigate your disability:
retrieving objects, picking up objects, turning on lights, closing/opening doors, sound alerts, deep pressure therapy, and anxiety alert.
Virtual (In-Home Only Service Dogs)
In-Person: Laval, Deux-Montagnes & St-Eustache
Service dogs are trained to help 1 person with their disabilities. This dog's training is personalized to their unique needs.
In-Home Only Service Dogs: are task trained but do not have public access. This can be because there is no need for it or the dog is unfit for public work. In-Home Only service dogs can provide an individual with much needed support and increased independence around their home.
Service Dogs with Public Access: along with task training, these dogs have received special training to be in "no dogs allowed" public spaces such as workplaces, restaurants, public transportation, stores, and housing. You are allowed to have your service dog without discrimination or fees to access these spaces.
Dogs must wear a visual marker stating they are a service dog as well may need proof of certification like a card.
The dogs in our program are an individual's personal dog, we cannot guarantee success from an initial evaluation. Dogs will receive regular evaluations during our training to ensure their suitability as a service dog and for public access work.
