Meet Katherine

I am a certified dog trainer and behaviour consultant specializing in puppies and separation anxiety. Over the last 8 years, I have continued my education and hold certifications from the Academy for Dog Trainers, Malena Demartini-Price and Fear Free Pets.

I am committed to helping my clients with their dogs' behaviour needs using only science backed methods. Research has shown both that using positive reinforcement is just as effective as other methods and that using solely positive reinforcement decreases unwanted behaviours! I will never use pain, fear, intimidation or outdated training philosophies.

My mission is to inspire you through education and compassion. Let me help you raise a happy, confident puppy and live a long and happy life together!

Hi, I’m Mayssa! It’s a great pleasure for me to work alongside Katherine to help you build a fulfilling and enriching relationship with your canine partner! I have been working with shelter dogs for the last 4 years and I’m currently working as a behavior evaluator at the Montreal SPCA. After completing my bachelor’s degree in psychology, I decided to dive in my true passion and to start an education in canine behavior. I have therefore completed the Puppy Start Right for Instructors training from Karen Pryor Academy and I’m currently studying at the Academy for Dog Trainers.

I am committed to using only positive reinforcement and scientifically up-to-date methods that do not jeopardize the physical and mental well-being of your companion. My goal is to guide you towards a harmonious relationship with a thriving puppy!

I got the dog behaviour bug early in my career, and have attended dozens of training courses since the first one in 2015. I am currently a student at the Academy for Dog Trainers.

Having spent much of my time as a canine evaluator at the Montreal SPCA, the physiological and psychological well-being of dogs is one of my highest priorities. It goes without saying that the methods used during our sessions are fun for both you and your dog, and most importantly, do not involve causing your dog any stress or pain.
